Walking the Gardens of the Lost City
I surprised Jamie with a weekend at the Palace of the Lost City this weekend; a little belated birthday celebration and an opportunity to get out of the city for some R&R. In an attempt to combine two of this year’s goals (adventure more and learn how to take a proper photograph), I decided to explore the trails surrounding the Palace and happened upon some incredible vegetation on my walk. My favourites were the bizarre succulents in the pachypodium forest, and I can never resist a spider lily. It’s also clear that my transformation into my mother is complete. Here’s hoping green fingers are genetic.
